The services of Care and Repair in Powys range from fitting a grab-rail to advising on home extensions, and everything in between!
Our own Practical Services Team carry out small repairs and adaptation work, particularly to aid hospital discharges and prevent falls. For larger building works, we take the worry out of completing paperwork for grant applications and finding reliable contractors.
We will visit the client in their home and allocate a named point of contact for the case. We work collaboratively with a range of agencies including the Local Authority, Health Board, Social Services, the Department of Work and Pensions, Occupational Therapists and a range of other benevolent funders and third sector organisations
We will also offer clients an income assessment to check they are receiving all the benefits they are entitled to. This all helps us to deliver an effective ‘one stop shop’ service.
92% of clients who responded to our satisfaction survey last year said that Care and Repair in Powys had improved their quality of life by being able to remain living in their own homes with increased independence and wellbeing as a result of our work.
