The Agency is considering a number of exciting and significant projects that expand the range of services it offers. These projects involve the Agency in taking a more commercial and entrepreneurial approach to delivering services. It is therefore seeking to strengthen its Board of Management with these skills and applications will also be welcomed from those who have knowledge and expertise in health and social care, law or financial management.

Care & Repair In Powys’s AGM Highlights A Help Line For Loneliness
Care & Repair in Powys held its Annual General Meeting on 24th July, 2017 and was attended by representatives from Care & Repair Cymru, PAVO, Powys County Council, Whittingham Riddell, as well as Mid-Wales Housing Association. The guest speaker, Linda Yeates from The Silver Line highlighted the excellent help line service that they provide to support older people across the UK. It offers information, friendship and advice, linking callers to local groups and services, protects and supports older people who are suffering abuse and neglect.

Gaynor Astley from Newtown is retiring from the locally based Care & Repair in Powys Agency following 27 years of dedicated service helping thousands of older people in the Montgomeryshire area to remain safe and secure in their home.
